I’m a big fan of YouTube University—but let’s be real, sometimes it’s way more helpful (and efficient) to talk to an actual human.
As a creative (photographers, videographers), there are tons of nuances in what we do. It’s not just about capturing great content; it’s about running a business, staying inspired, and making it all sustainable.
If you’re a freelance creative (especially a solo shooter), here are some topics we can cover:
Creative & Technical Stuff
• Shooting photo or video for commercial work or weddings
• Camera + audio gear setups
• Project breakdowns
• Setting up a home studio space or creating a professional Zoom setup for important meetings
Business & Growth
• Pricing your work confidently
• Improving your website + SEO
I’ve been freelancing for over 15 years and full time into this business for the last 6 while becoming a new dad, so if you’re overwhelmed with doing all your own research and just want someone to talk to and ask questions to directly — let’s connect.
I like to spread the 4 sessions over 2 months to give you ample time to absorb our chats as well as to do really consider the areas in which I could give you the most value.
First session is to meet and to discuss where you’re at with your business and what hurdles you’re facing.
From there, we’ll plan out the remaining 3 sessions. Oftentimes, as we chat, more questions come out that you hadn’t initially thought about so we can flow in whatever direction is best for you.
Some sessions can be just chats, some could be me breaking down a project or even providing you some of my works to do some live homework with so we can review together.
It is massively challenging (and lonely) being a solopreneur, a one-man-band or even just trying to make money doing photography and videography — so, I get it and I want to share all my learnings with you to hopefully take away a bit of the overwhelm.
Please reach out if you have any questions. We always invest in new gear, but forget to invest in ourselves.
